QRBIT is a privately held company founded by researchers from the Institute of Communication and Computer Systems (ICCS) at the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA). Co-founded by quantum engineers Ioannis Giannoulis, Aristeidis Stathis, and Argyrios Ntanos, the team combines expertise in physics, quantum and optoelectronics engineering to advance next-generation quantum and optical technologies.

Building on years of research in photonic communications and quantum cryptography at the Photonic Communications Research Laboratory (PCRL/ICCS-NTUA), QRBIT develops state-of-the-art prototypes including photonic subsystems for QKD, optical telescope assemblies, and specialized software tools.
